One thing we’ve learned from over 25 years in the bathroom industry is that a bathroom is so much more than just a place to wash; it’s so many things to so many people. It’s a place to relax, to retreat, to escape from the ‘outside world’.
It’s fun time for the kids, much needed alone time for couples and for us it’s our sanctuary, our haven.
With growing evidence of how our environment affects our wellbeing, having the right personal spaces in our homes is becoming increasingly important… which is where your bathrooms have a real role to play.
We just love the way Bathroom Origins is at the forefront of bathroom design. We’re setting, shaping and responding to consumer aspirations helping people transform their bathrooms into a space which truly reflects their individual style and bathing rituals.
Our mantra is ‘design-led, quality assured, practically affordable’… and we mean it!
All the products we sell are chosen – or designed – personally by us, reflecting our passion for great design, love of creativity and appreciation of quality materials and craftsmanship.
We genuinely do care. We strive to offer you the very best service and prices; we are honest, transparent and friendly; and we will always go that extra mile for you.
Our mission is to inspire you to transform your bathroom into a space which truly reflects your individual style and bathing rituals – by bringing you a collection of bathroomwares influenced by our passion for design, art & fashion.
How Bathroom Origins was born
In 1995, newly-wed and working for the family business, we spotted a gap in the market for well-priced, design-led bathroom accessories. At the time, products were typically cheap and ugly or extortionate and ‘nice’; but we knew there were far better options just waiting to be discovered. So together, we founded Bathroom Origins. That was 25 years ago, and we’ve not looked back since!
Born into a family of fashionistas, Sofia developed her flair for design at an early age. Her family manufactured clothing for Top Shop, River Island, Dorothy Perkins, to name just a few. After university, Sofia worked in Eveningwear at Selfridges, so she’s experienced everything from high street fashion to high end design!
Connect with Sofia
Bathrooms are in Frixos’ blood. His father established a top-end bathroom business in Woodford Green, Essex, where Frixos worked at weekends and during school holidays. By 15, he was visiting sites, learning to measure and plan bathroom layouts… so what Frixos doesn’t know about bathrooms is not worth knowing!

We hope you love our products just as much as we do.
Was it fate?
In 1991, whilst Sofia was studying in San Francisco, she bought a miniature porcelain roll top bath containing two little teddies and a bottle of Blue Nun. “I don’t know why, but I said to myself I’d give this to the man I was going to marry.”
The rest, as they say, is history!
